Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday - Thursday, Day Shift (4x10 hour shifts) 5:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
This opportunity is for our Portland, Oregon location.
Primary Purpose:
Perform maintenance, repair and installation of production machinery, all process related equipment, vehicles, material handling equipment, facility, environmental control systems, lighting, grounds and utilities. Effectively maintain company assets to maximize longevity and minimize downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with OSHA regulations as well as follow all company safety rules and procedures. Working safely is a condition of employment.
- Follow, applicable Safety, Health and Environmental rules and guidelines while performing any procedure work. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
- Follow assignments and projects to completion while meeting /exceeding times lines and expectations.
- Use Preventive Maintenance software to complete work orders and input data. Identify and get the resources needed to complete work.
- Respond to maintenance calls and requests. Diagnose and respond accordingly.
- Remove, rebuild and / or replace equipment components such as pumps, cylinders, valves, sensors, switches, bearings / races & seals, mechanical drive systems etc.
- Perform troubleshooting of machine control systems and related components such as inputs / outputs, power supply, electrical signals, switches, solenoids etc.
- Install, wire, and troubleshoot facility electrical and electronic devices on equipment using approved standards and safety protocols. Work under direct supervision of a licensed electrician when required, if not licensed.
- Use of PLC controllers and other logic devices and equipment with the ability to troubleshoot and replace components or modules.
Qualifications Include:
- Associate or technical degree in related field preferred
- Minimum 5 – 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing preventative maintenance position
- Solid understanding of Preventive Maintenance systems, with ability to diagnose and repairing, hydraulics, pneumatics and electromechanical control systems.
- Metal fabrication experience preferred
- Machine control PC, PLC, HMI experience preferred
- LME/LMI electrical license required for highest level tech positions
- Ability to maintain and repair machinery safely and quickly, with full attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Able to meet deadlines, keep commitments, and meet expectations.
